Job Creators Network Reacts to February Jobs Report

Alfredo Ortiz, president and CEO of Job Creators Network, released the following statement on the February jobs report, which showed 275,000 jobs were created, the unemployment rate increased to 3.9%, and the labor force participation rate remained at 62.5%:

“Today’s jobs numbers show the labor market is stagnant under the weight of prolonged high inflation and high interest rates due to failed Democrat policies. Small business job creators are having a harder time hiring and expanding in this high-cost, big government environment.

“Real wages significantly declined last month when measured against the consumer price index or core consumer price index. The number of unemployed people nationwide grew by one-third of a million people. Job creation continues to disproportionately occur in unproductive government positions. Previous months’ job growth was again revised down by 167,000, continuing a troubling trend and taking the sheen off previous months’ reports.

“President Biden’s tax-spend-and-regulate agenda on display at Thursday night’s State of the Union would only further slow the labor market and overall economy. Voters should be warned.”
